Still No Answers in Ditmas Park Woman's Jail Death
Kyam Livingston died in a crowded cell Sunday morning after her cries for help went unanswered by guards.
More testing is needed to determine the reason for the death of a female inmate Sunday morning, The Daily News reports.
Kyam Livingston was arrested early Saturday morning at the home she shared with her grandmother on Stratford Road.
She died the next morning in a prison cell after hours of cramps, diarrhea and finally, convulsions, a fellow inmate told The Daily News. She was dead for 20 minutes before an ambulance arrived.
Livingston was in jail after getting drunk Friday night. Her grandmother called cops in after she began smashing furniture, according to The News.
At least one prison guard attributed Livingston's symptoms to intoxication, a witness said.
