BBQ, Rides, and Friendly Cops at the Parade Grounds Tuesday

Don't miss the NYPD's National Night Out in Ditmas Park on Aug. 6.

On Tuesday, August 6, local police and residents will join forces to celebrate safety the fun way with National Night Out. 

In addition to educating the public about crime prevention,this year's festivities—to be held at the Prospect Park Parade Grounds—will feature free barbecue, games, rides, face painting, blood pressure screenings, cell phone, bicycle, iPod and tablet etching, and more.

National Night Out celebrates its 30th year this summer. The annual nationalwide event aims to raise awareness of crime and drug prevention initiatives and encourage participation in local law enforcement.

The event will be held from 6:30 p.ml to 9:30 p.m. at Prospect Park Parade Grounds, specifically on the Caton Ave. side at Argyle.
