Foster Ave. Creperie Nearly Ready to Open

La Crepe et La Vie, a crepe restaurant coming to Foster Avenue between E. 17th and E. 18th St., is going to be open on a week or two, the owner said.

The venture is owned by, Costas, a longtime Fiske Terrace resident who used to own a gourmet food shop in Newkirk Plaza which he said was similar to a smaller (much smaller) version of Dean and Deluca.

Although Costas is Greek, the restaurants will be of a strictly French theme with copper pots half-timbered walls and French vintage posters to decorate them.

"I like crepes," he said when asked about the cafe's theme.

There will be around six or seven varieties of savory crepes, and about the same of sweet.
