Barclays, Nets Get Slice of NBA All-Star Action

The Atlantic Avenue arena will host the three-point and slam dunk contests, while the Knicks and Madison Square Garden will host Sunday's All Star.

Well, it's a start.

The National Basketball Association has set up a split agreement with the city's two basketball teams to share the 2015 All-Star festivities, with the Barclays Center and the Nets hosting the first day events in Brooklyn.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the Atlantic Avenue arena will host the three-point and slam dunk contests, while the Knicks and Madison Square Garden will host the All Star game.

The Associated Press is also reporting the plan, citing anonymous sources. A press conference with Mayor Michael Bloomberg, NBA Commissioner David Stern, Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver, nicks owner Jim Dolan and Barclays developer Bruce Ratner are expected to be on hand.

New York last hosted the All Star game in 1998 at Madison Square Garden.
