The Blue Laws to Play at 773 Lounge for P.S. 217

Concert to benefit P.S. 217.

 

You can't get more local than this: A home-grown band is taking it upon itself to raise funds to a Ditmas Park school at a nearby bar, and all to the tune of New Orleans!

The Blue Laws will play a benefit Mardi Gras concert for P.S. 217 at the 773 Lounge on March 1.

"We will be trying to keep the Mardi Gras spirit going by playing lots of New Orleans influenced music," wrote bandmate Joel Siegel. "Come out and second line for a good cause."

Hosted by Friends of 217, the festivities will begin at 7 p.m. and not stop until 1 a.m.

There is a cover of $20 at the door that includes one free drink, and is 100 percent tax deductible.

The 773 Lounge is located at 773 Coney Island Ave.
