Brooklyn Forest School Fall Registration Open

The program features outdoor classes for parents and their toddlers in Prospect Park.

The Brooklyn Forest School, a program that offers outdoor classes for parents and their toddlers in Prospect Park, is now accepting students for its fall season

Parent-child classes meet once a week for two hours on weekday mornings at 9 or 11:30 a.m., the school's website states. Classes are also offered in the afternoon at 2:30 pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Children can attend class with a parent or caregiver.

"The children play in the dirt, search for wildlife and run across the park’s wide open meadows," the website says. "It's a simple class centered around play and nature, a time for the children to move fast and freely without their caregivers worrying about fast cars."

The season runs from Sept. 10, 2012 to Feb. 1, 2013. Each class runs for eighteen weeks and costs $497.79.
