It's Friday, so those looking to start their weekend off with a good bottle of vino need look no further. We asked you, our Patch readers in Brooklyn, to tell us where the best place is to grab a bottle of wine in your neighborhood—and here are the results:
In a close race, Smith and Vine eked out the competition and took home the Readers' Choice for the neighborhood.
Juice Box Wine & Spirits on Prospect Ave. pulled away from the competition listed in our poll.
Bed-Vyne Wines on Tompkins Ave. ran away from the competition as the favored spot in Bed-Stuy to find a nice bottle to enjoy.
Big Nose Full Body on Fifth Ave. was the big winner in our poll with and coming in tied for second place.
on Cortelyou Rd. was the runaway winner with 26 votes.
The nod goes to Gnarly Vines Wine & Spirits on Myrtle Ave. The wine shop grabbed 13 votes in our poll.
While on Vanderbilt snagged the most poll votes—which earned them 10 points (as per Patch's Readers' Choice official rules)—Love Liquors & Wines on Washington Ave. came in second place in voting (8 points). Because Love also recieved a positive review during the polling period (another 10 points), they are the winner.
Cheers to the all the winners! Check back next week wen we ask where the best place to have your taxes prepared for anyone waiting until the last minute to file.
