Love Vandal of Ditmas Park

Someone smitten with love's arrow uses graffiti to leave his their words of love in the hood.

Spring is in the air and apparently love can't be too far behind, and with that come scribblings from the heart or should I say grafitti? Apparently so, as Ditmas Park has a love vandal, who has from my reconning left his or her mark in three locations. I list them in the order that I found them, mind you I did not go searching for them.

The first I spotted last Saturday April 14th in front of the stairs of the Prospect Park Jewish Center & Yeshiva, on Marlborough Road, with the words written "Love God, Love Laura."  I was little confused at the time thinking that perhaps that this was a love letter to God, which it still may be, and that Laura signed her name. But then the second one I found on Sunday the 15th on Foster Ave in the gutter in front of Thriftway Pharmacy on East 18th Street. seemed to clear up the mystery a bit with "Will ____ once for Laura," I leave a blank because a puddle of rain water obscured that word and I just want to be clear. Well, now I could see that Laura was the object of these missives. The third I discovered Tuesday the 17th on Newkirk and East 18th Street and it finally nailed it on the head with "Laura, I Love You" and an arrow alluding to another message, which I did not venture to discover. Well why didn't you just say so?

I am a true believer in love, but as a neigbhbor to a neighbor I would like to give a suggestion, next time use chalk, you get more colors, and you don't have to worry about paint fumes destroying brain cells and ruining the environment, and though the words will wash away in the rain, the memory of their sentiment will last a lifetime. Good luck on your mission of love.
