(ASBC) All Souls Bethlehem Church, 566 East 7th Street (btwn Cortelyou and Ditmas Avs) Presents it's monthly Free Movie Nite, FRIDAY JULY 27TH @ 6:30PM, open to the community, featuring the critically acclaimed film WHALE RIDER, winner of the Sundance & Toronto Film Festivals.


WHALE RIDER is a coming of age tale with an eleven year girl, named Pai, of the Whangara people of New Zealand, who knows it is her destiny to be the next chief of her patriarchal tribe. She must fight her grandfather, who must choose the next chief, and thousands of years of tradition to fulfill her destiny.  PG 13
