Town Hall Meeting to Address Stop-and-Frisk

Stop-and-frisk will be the subject of tonight's town hall meeting in Park Slope

Head to Park Slope tonight for to discuss the NYPD's controversial stop-and-frisk policy.

The meeting will be held at Congregation Beth Elohim at 274 Garfield Place at 7 p.m.

A group of guest speakers are expected to attend include New York City Public Advocate Bill de Blasio, Dr. Delores Jones-Brown of John Jay College and Udi Ofer of NYCLU.

"Stop-and-Frisk" has been a subject of interest for some time, with many members of the community voicing their opinions on the matter, including s and , president of the Sergeants Benevolent Association.

Recently, a ruling by Judge Shira Scheindlin cleared the way for class action lawsuits potentially involving thousands of people on the receiving end of the controversial police stops throughout the five boroughs.
