District Leader for Assembly District 42 Rodneyse Bichotte announced at Community Board 14's monthly meeting Monday night that she will hold a voter education forum Tues., Oct. 23.
Bichotte noted the forum is geared to educate voters so that the issues that arose during what she called a disastrous primary voting day will not happen during this year's November general election.
"We want to educate the community... that's the key thing," Bichotte said.
Held in cooperation with Citizens Union, NYC Campaign Finance Board, NYC Communities for Change and the NAACP Brooklyn Branch, the forum will discuss how to properly fill out absentee and affidavit ballots.
The Board of Elections will also be on hand to perform demonstrations with new polling machines.
The forum will be held from 6-9 p.m. at St. Jerome's School at 465 E. 29 St.
