Tour de Brooklyn Bikers to Pedal Through the Borough

The annual ride will take place this weekend.

The 8th annual Tour de Brooklyn, a 21.5 mile ride through the borough, will take place on Sunday, June 3. The race begins and ends in Commodore Barry Park in Fort Greene.

Bikers will pedal through Fort Greene, Park Slope, Sunset Park, Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, Midwood, Kensington and Prospect Heights, with a rest stop at Dyker Beach Park.

Riders of all ages and abilities are encouraged to join.

No streets will be closed off for the event. NYPD officers and safety marshals provided by Transportation Alternatives will escort participants through the route. Officials will briefly block certain traffic intersections to allow the Tour to roll through.

Rider check-ins start at 8 a.m. at Commodore Barry Park (enter at the corner of Navy Street and Flushing Avenue), with the Tour beginning at 10 a.m. The event will be held rain or shine.

Pre-registration is closed, but there will be a limited number of spots open on the day of the race.
