Report: 3-Year-Old Boy Shot in Head

Boy in critical condition after being shot on Saturday, according to reports.

A 3-year-old boy who was at home in a Ditmas Park apartment with a baby sitter on Saturday was shot in the head, according to a report in the New York Times on Sunday. A man who was in the apartment at the time was being questioned by detectives about the incident.

The paper reported that the boy, whose name was not released, was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell hospital where he is listed as in critical but stable condition.

"The shooting occurred around 3:30 a.m. at 520 East 21st Street in Ditmas Park," the New York Times story said. "The bullet entered the left side of the boy’s head and exited through the back."
