Unidentified, possibly human remains were discovered in alleged serial killer Salvatore Perrone's Staten Island home, police said Wednesday.
Police said that during an investigation of the 64-year-old's home the potential evidence was found in the basement.
The investigation is ongoing, police continued.
Salvatore Perrone was indicted Monday in the murders of three Brooklyn shop keepers, including Rahmatollah Vahidipour, 78, the owner of She She Boutique on Flatbush avenue.
Perrone allegedly shot and killed Vahidipour, Mohammed Gebeli, 65, and Isaac Kadare, 59 with the same gun in three separate incidents since July 6. If convicted, he faces life in prison.
