The Brooklyn ARTery sells everything and anything one could want to purchase, but with a unique twist: most items sold are made by local artists. "The idea that you can get a card in a place other than Duane Read, and the idea that we can shop locally," said cowner Susan Siegel. "It's supporting Brooklyn artists and fair trade in a difficult economy."
