The Big Apple once again becomes the backdrop for thrills, chills, murder and mayhem. The International Thriller Writers (ITW) ThrillerFest, the largest gathering of New York Times bestselling authors under one roof, returns July 8-12, 2014 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City. Queen of the Gothic Thriller and 2013 ThrillerMaster Anne Rice will return to pass the torch to Scott Turow, the 2014 ThrillerMaster. Identical is the latest book from Turow, the author of nine best-selling works of fiction, including his first novel, Presumed Innocent, which was turned into the number-one film starring Harrison Ford. This year’s Spotlight Authors are 22 of the bestselling contributors to FACEOFF, the latest anthology from ITW, in which the world’s greatest thriller characters meet head-to-head, for the first time ever, in 11 electrifying stories. The Spotlight Authors include Lee Child, Joseph Finder, Steve Berry, Michael Connelly, James Rollins, Heather Graham, Linda Fairstein, M.J. Rose, Lisa Gardner, Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child, Jeffery Deaver, R.L. Stine, John Sandford, Steve Martini, T. Jefferson Parker, F. Paul Wilson, Ian Rankin, Linwood Barclay, Raymond Khoury, John Lescroart, and Peter James. Under the guidance of some of the most acclaimed thriller writers such as Steve Berry, D.P. Lyle, MD, and David Morrell aspiring writers will learn from the masters during CraftFest and sharpen their skills for the legendary PitchFest (formerly AgentFest). To cap off an adrenaline filled week, ThrillerFest culminates with the 2014 ITW Thriller Awards Banquet during which Brenda Novak will be awarded the acclaimed Silver Bullet Award and the awards for best novel, best debut novel, and best short story will finally be revealed—a riveting climax to a sensational event.  To register, visit: www.thrillerfest.com.
