Lit at Lark: Novelists M.J. Rose, Randy Susan Meyers, and Nancy Bilyeau Discuss The Art of the Bestseller!

April's Lit at Lark features a terrific trio of bestselling novelists. These writers will be discussing how they craft their wildly popular narratives, the ins and outs of book publicity, and will be available to answer questions from the audience! As always, the event is free, LARK will offer a Happy Hour drink special just for us, and WORD will be selling books written by and recommended by our authors.

Randy Susan Meyers is the author of The Murderer’s Daughters, a finalist for the Massachusetts Book Award, named a “Must Read Book” and one of the “2011 Ten Best Works of Fiction” by the Massachusetts Center for the Book. Her writing is informed by her work with abusers and victims of domestic violence, as well as her experience with youth impacted by street violence. She lives with her husband in Boston, where she teaches for the Grub Street Writer’s Center. 

M.J. Rose is the international bestselling author of fourteen novels, one of which (The Reincarnationist) was the basis of the television series Past Lives. She is a the co-president and founding board member of International Thriller Writers and the founder of the first marketing company for authors: AuthorBuzz.com. She lives in Greenwich, Connecticut. 

Randy Susan Meyers and M.J. Rose are co-authors of the book What To Do Before Your Book Launch, a publicity guide for authors.

Nancy Bilyeau has worked on the staffs of InStyle, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, and Ladies Home Journal. She is currently the executive editor of DuJour magazine. Her screenplays have placed in several prominent industry competitions. Two scripts reached the semi-finalist round of the Nicholl Fellowships of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. Her screenplay "Zenobia" placed with the American Zoetrope competition, and "Loving Marys" reached the finalist stage of Scriptapalooza. A native of the Midwest, she earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. THE CROWN, her first novel, was published in 2012; the sequel, THE CHALICE, followed in 2013.
