Williams Leads Stewart, Eugene Re-elected

With most of the votes in, it appears that City Councilman Matthieu Eugene has been reelected to a second term over L. Rickie Tulloch and Rock Hackshaw to represent most of Ditmas Park. A bit over 3,000 votes will be enough to get Eugene some 60% of the vote. (And a few bad voting machines probably didn't make the margin.)

Meanwhile, there's a huge victory for reformers in the district that begins south of Foster Avenue: Jumaane Williams, a former Flatbush Development Corporation staffer who's well thought-of around here, appears on track to unseat the troubled incumbent, Kendall Stewart.

And in Kensington and to the north, Brad Lander, the long time head of an affordable-housing organization, is on track to take the seat.
