West Midwood Silent Auction to Benefit P.S. 217, Hurricane Sandy Victims

Attend a neighborhood get-together filled with food, wine and art to support local causes.

In a time where home damage, flooding, black-outs, snow storms and general high-stress has become commonplace, a night of good wine, good food and good art might be just what the doctor ordered.

Real Estate Agency the Corcoran Group is hosting a night out for neighbors near and far to celebrate the West Midwood community and raise funds for local causes.

From 6:30-8:30 p.m., food and wine will be served at 758 Westminster Road where the work of local artists Juan Carlos Pinto and Paul Igrisano will be featured.

A silent auction will also be held, where neighbors can bid on either a two-night stay at Bibi's Garden Bed & Breakfast, two tickets for a Brooklyn Nets game at the Barclay's Center, or a self-portrait by Juan Carlos Pinto.

"We are still in desperate need for items such as non-perishable food, water, blankets, cleaning supplies, diapers, fem products, work gloves, construction garbage bags, batteries and flashlights [to donate]," Corcoran salesperson Vanazza Perez told Patch.
