From the Church Avenue BID:
Church Avenue at Marlborough Road has been temporarily closed to through traffic to repair a roadway cave-in at this location.
During the day (7am to 4pm) from Rugby Road to East 16th Street there will be limited access on Church Avenue, with only emergency vehicles, buses, commercial delivery trucks and limited local traffic permitted on Church Avenue. West bound traffic is being diverted at East 17th Street to Caton Avenue, and east bound traffic is being diverted at Rugby Road to Albemarle Road.
Repair work is being conducted by the NYC Department of Environmental Protection and has been estimated to take 3-5 days to complete. Please plan your travels accordingly and contact us at info@churchavenue.org with any questions about this closure.
