Police Looking for Suspect

It seems the guy allegedly responsible for a number of deaths in Sheepshead Bay earlier today was headed north this evening, bringing cops all out all over the neighborhood. Here's what Sheepshead Bites has, and  NY1 reports that Maksim Gelman, 23, allegedly "stabbed his stepfather, his girlfriend and her mother and injured two others in Brooklyn", fled in a getaway car and then allegedly carjacked a Pontiac, having stabbed its driver, managed also to strike a pedestrian.

Gelman is 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. "After dark, officers descended on a six-story apartment house on East 18th Street near Avenue R. Other officers fanned out, and about 9:30 p.m., they discovered the Bonneville in Midwood, on East 15th Street between Avenues H and I. The engine was still running, officers said, as they began combing railroad tracks that run parallel to the two avenues", according to the New York Times.  Police were offering late Friday $12,000 for any info leading to an arrest, says NY1. Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.

He is believed to be armed and dangerous. If you identify Gelman, seek safety and call 911 immediately, Sheepshead Bites reports.
