Online Christmas Tree Supplier Donates Trees to NYC

Tyler’s Trees has partnered with NYRP/MillionTreesNYC and will donate at least 166 trees back to New York City.

Christmas tree delivery company Tyler's Trees began its fifth season of supplying trees online at TylersTrees.com, and is working to give back to the communities affacted by Hurricane Sandy.

The Christmas tree supplier has also partnered with NYRP and MillionTreesNYC to make a minimum donation of 166 trees back to New York City. For every NYRP supporter who purchases a Christmas tree at TylersTrees.com, Tyler’s Trees will donate $30 to NYRP to help plant trees. In addition, customers have the option to donate to NYRP at checkout.

"Their donation of $30 for each tree purchased with NYRP’s promotional code, and advocacy to encourage their customers to participate in MulchFest, are helping to make this NYC’s greenest Christmas on record!" said NYRP Executive Director Amy Freitag in a statement.

Freitag noted that this partnership will go to helping NYRP reach its goal of one million new trees in New York City by 2017.

New Yorkers can place orders for Christmas trees through the website, TylersTrees.com, where they choose the size of the Fraser Fir tree that will be delivered and set up, complete with tree skirt and stand, in their home.

Tyler's Trees employees will also teach customers how to tend to the tree, and will remove the tree when the festivities have ended.
