Ditmas Reads Ditmas: The Ninth Step Discusssion
Just over a week ago Gabriel Cohen met local readers in Sycamore to discuss his most recent book, The Ninth Step. If you missed the get-together, but would like to participate in discussion about the book, now is your opportunity. Write, in the comments section of this post, questions or comments about the book. Respond to other readers’ questions and comments. Cohen will be available to respond to some comments as well.
If you'd like to catch up and join in, here is where to get a copy of The Ninth Step: Amazon, Barnes and Noble.
To get started, I have a few questions.
The Ninth Step is the 4th book in the Jack Leightner series and my first question is: will there be a 5th? If so, will Ditmas Park again play a pivotal role?
Cohen includes in The Ninth Step an image familiar to anyone who has driven over the Kosciuszko Bridge: acres of grey tombstones in front of acres of grey skyscrapers. What does this image represent? How does it connect with solving the murder?
An underlining message in The Ninth Step is how we systematically and unconstitutionally mistreated our own citizens post 9/11. What are the consequences of our behavior? What should change?
I have more questions, like where, exactly, do you hit someone to take them out with one blow of a can of beans? But I want to hear your questions. Please, ask away.
