Community Youth Mentoring Symposium

Community Youth Mentoring Symposium

Brooklyn45, a local non-profit organization, is hosting the first Community Youth Mentoring Symposium on Saturday, October 15 at Flatbush-Tompkins.

The symposium is an opportunity to connect middle and high school students in the Flatbush area to mentoring opportunities that will give them the competitive edge necessary to excel academically, and get an early start on career planning. It will also provide opportunities for students to showcase their academic achievements and community projects on Brooklyn45 television.

The symposium will feature interactive presentations led by local professionals in science and technology, law, and community mentoring, as well as informational booths provided by academically focused organizations. Students will also get information on how to access $4 million in college scholarships, learn about internship possibilities, receive gifts, and also have a chance to win several prizes.

The symposium is free and lunch is included.
