If you don’t know already, Flatbush Development Corp. has teamed up with Great Eastern Energy here in Brooklyn to offer the best prices through their natural gas coop. Members will save approximately 5.5 cents per therm from the utility rate which consists of their discount of 3% and the elimination of the 4% sales tax. The cost to join the coop is just $30 and Flatbush Development Corp. gets a small stream of income for every therm you use to continue their important housing, youth, immigration and economic development work.
