NYPD Bulletin: Gun-Wielding Bank Robbery Suspect Wanted

NYPD seeks suspect who made cash grabs from two Ditmas Park area banks and attempted to rob a third.

The NYPD are asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted for a string of bank robberies in and around Ditmas Park. 

On Monday, May 21 at 9:20 a.m. the suspect walked into HSBC Bank located at 815 Flatbush Avenue where he passed one of the tellers a note demanding money. The teller refused and the suspect fled the bank.

That same day at 2:50 p.m. the suspect walked into Sovereign Bank located at 23 Newkirk Plaza where he passed one of the tellers a note demanding money and displayed a firearm. The teller complied and the suspect fled the bank with an undetermined amount of money.

On Friday, July 7 at 11 a.m. the suspect walked into Astoria Federal Savings Bank located at 1045 Flatbush Avenue where he passed one of the tellers a note demanding money. The teller complied and the suspect fled the bank with an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male between 25 and 35-years-old, standing between 6-foot and 6-foot-3. He weighs between 240 and 260 pounds and had a goatee.

During the robberies, the suspect wore dark shades and a hat. During the second incident the suspect had reddish facial brown facial hair, wore a grey hooded sweatshirt and a black puffy vest.
