Make Strides Against Breast Cancer Sunday in Prospect Park

It's not too late to sign up or donate to help win the battle against this all-too-common disease.

The annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Prospect Park will start on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 9 a.m.

The three-mile walk, which will be held in the Nethermead, or the back end of Prospect Park, will raise funds that will go toward research to find a cure for breast cancer.

"The journey to end breast cancer starts with a single step," Making Strides Against Breast Cancer's website says. "Take that step with us at one of our American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks. Just a few hours of your time will help bring a lifetime of change for people facing breast cancer and their families."
