The New York City Police Department announced street closures and anticipated traffic delays for Sept. 29 and 30.
Drivers should expect delays in the following areas:
Special Notice: Barclays Center Opening Weekend
The Barclays Sports Center, located at the corner of Atlantic & Flatbush Avenues, is celebrating its opening with concerts by Jay Z Friday, Saturday & Sunday, all at 8 p.m. Drivers should expect heavy delays, and people planning to attend these events are advised to use mass transit.
Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Run
Brooklyn Battery Tunnel closures:
One tube closed beginning Saturday, Sept. 29 11 p.m. until approximately 3 p.m. Sun. Sept. 30. Two - way traffic operations will be in effect in the remaining tube.
The BBT will be completely closed Sunday at 8 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes. Race route and Brooklyn & Manhattan locations are noted below in the Sunday portion of the post.
