Shredzilla Goes Off Without a Hitch [PHOTOS]

Ditmas Parkers were happy to be part of the green initiative and feed the paper shredding truck monster.

Thanks to the Flatbush Development Corporation for supplying such awesome photos of Saturday's Shredzilla event!

The day, hosted by Flatbush Development Corporation, Sustainable Flatbush, and the Flatbush Food Co-op, was filled with Green Initiatives from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Food Co-op at 1415 Cortelyou Rd.

Ditmas Parkers fed their papers to a giant shredding truck dubbed Shredzilla, bringing all of their sensitive paper records, including income taxes, social security information, medical records, accounting, payroll, cancelled checks, legal documents, credit card statements and more to be eaten by the monster.

The groups also planted daffodils in public spaces as part of their mission to vitalize the neighborhood's blocks.
