Remains Found in Salvatore Perrone's Basement Not Human

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner of New York City said the remains were a rawhide dog toy.

 

Remains found in the home of alleged serial killer Salvatore Perrone, 64, have been deemed not human or animal, according to police. 

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner of New York City found the remains to be that of a rawhide dog toy.

It was during an investigation of Perrone's Staten Island home that the remains were found in his basement and were considered potentially human. 

Salvatore Perrone was indicted Monday in the murders of three Brooklyn shop keepers, including Rahmatollah Vahidipour, 78, the owner of She She Boutique on Flatbush avenue.

Perrone allegedly shot and killed Vahidipour, Mohammed Gebeli, 65, and Isaac Kadare, 59 with the same gun in three separate incidents since July 6.  If convicted, he faces life in prison.
