Police Blotter: Woman Attacked at Home; Robberies

An assault on a woman in her home and the theft of $2000 worth of laptops amongst recent crimes.

An assault, a break-in at a Ditmas Park business, stolen computers, and a stolen bicycle in this week's blotter.

Woman Attacked at Home

A 32-year-old woman was attacked by a man in her apartment near Albemarle Rd. during the evening of Tues., Sept. 4.

The man, 46, punched the woman in the mouth at approximately 8 p.m., and fled the apartment. He was eventually apprehended by the police and resisted arrest by punching an officer. 

$2000 Worth in Laptops Stolen from Apartment

An unknown person entered a Marlborough Rd. apartment through an open kitchen window and stole two laptops worth $1,000 each at some point on Sat., Sept. 1. When the owner returned to his home at approximately 4:30 p.m., he found his door chained and his computers missing. The case is currently under investigation.  

Suspicious Man Found in Closed Ditmas Park Store 

While opening his Cortelyou Rd. business during the early morning hours of Mon., Sept. 3, a business owner saw an unknown man inside of the store in the process of running away. The business owner noticed a side rear window was broken, but said no items appeared to misplaced or missing. The case is currently under investigation.  

Bike Goes Missing from Ocean Ave. 

A man reported his bicycle stolen from Ocean Ave. on Wed., Sept. 5. He placed it on a storefront near Church Ave. to go into a store, and when he came out, his bike was gone. The police canvased the area, but was unable to locate the bike.
