Ditmas Park After-School Programs in Danger of Being Cut

CAMBA's after-school programs at PS 139 and PS 249 are not included in the city's 2013 budget.

CAMBA, a non-profit that runs several after-school programs in Brooklyn, is having its programs at PS 139 on Rugby Road and PS 249 on Caton Avenue cut from the city's 2013 budget, according to a spokesman for CAMBA.

The after-school programs offer structured activities, including homework help, arts, recreation, conflict resolution, clubs and athletics. The programs also engage parents through family nights, club showcases, and referrals to other needed services.

There is still time make your voice heard to try to restore funding in Ditmas Park's public schools.
