BEAT Festival Debuts at Local Church

Performances to run at Flatbush Reformed Church Run from Sept. 13-22.

 

The Brooklyn Emerging Artists in Theater (BEAT), a performing arts initiative for the community of Brooklyn, is holding its inaugural festival this September at venues across the borough, including the nearby Flatbush Reformed Church. 

Performances at the Church will take place from Thurs., Sept. 13 to Sat., Sept. 22. Tickets are $20 for a single performance.

Or, spend $50 for a BEAT Saturday pass, an entire day spent touring the borough to watch different performances, sample snacks from local favorites and learn about the various communities performances are taking place in.

"BEAT seeks to present performance events that express our profound diversity, celebrate our finest spaces and unify our broad, expansive community," the organization's website says. "BEAT is wholly dedicated to fostering and creating new audiences for Brooklyn’s finest performing artists."
